Is the 4th visit at this hotel. Travelling to Istanbul quite often I fall in love with this hotel. The location is brilliant. 5 minutes walk to Grand Bazar, even 30 minutes walk to Galata Tower (or tram 10mins) . Restaurants plenty in the area. The hotel restaurant is rooftop and had sea view - exceptional. The food also amazing. Breakfast bar also really good l.nnNow the negative points on my last trip that kinda made me change the booking for next month and get another hotel:nn- asked for late check out . They gave me until 14:00. Reasonable as I wanted anyway to get out by lunch. By 12:00 the reception manager was calling the room that I need to vacate as is passed 12:00. And I did mentioned that he approved me to stay till 14:00. And he said ok. Not passed 1 hr and again the same rude reception manager called me again at 12:40 Madam you need to vacate the room. I went outside to check if any bigger manager or directors on site and luckily it was one. Very polite helped me and apologised for this and let me have the room until 17:00.nn- at check-in found blood on the pillow cover and asked for a replace and when the guy from reception came he looked and said this is just normal stains, not blood 🩸- so calling the customer a Liar . Very rude.nn- the room I had now at 1st floor is situated above the reception balcony where all night the door is open and closed and the guys from reception smoke and speak loud and you can hear everything. Not good for a light sleeper like me.
