First of all, you're not greeted with a smile and warmth the moment you walk through the door. My favorite appetizers are fava beans, köpoğlu (a type of Turkish meze), and atom (a type of Turkish meze). The arugula salad is also very delicious, and the portions are very generous. I especially love their kebabs, particularly the liver. The cooked onions are very tasty. The prices, in 2026 Turkey, make you want to go out. Whenever my family and I want to go to a grill restaurant, we come to Pala without thinking twice 🫶🏻🫶🏻

The quality of the meats and the cooking skills are truly excellent. The kebabs and appetizers, in particular, were fresh and delicious. It's a must-visit place for those who love grilled meats.

We dined here twice during our time in Istanbul. The food was excellent and we were treated both times like a local with warm smiles and handshakes. You can enjoy watching your meat being cooked on the grill. It was full of local people socialising and enjoying each other’s company - the second time we enjoyed watching the football - a wonderful experience! Just note Turks like to smoke and when it is full it can also be smoky!😃Highly recommended when you are in Istanbul.
