Traditional 19th-century restaurant offering regional cuisine in the Sirkeci Train Station.
A huge thank you to the entire team for their warm welcome and incredible kindness!nnThe staff are truly friendly, always smiling and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.nThe breakfast is simply excellent: very varied, generous, and of high quality, with a wide selection to satisfy all tastes. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented. It's a real pleasure to start the day in such a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend the Orient Express hotel restaurant for its impeccable service and exceptional breakfast!
It's true that I haven't been able to visit this place since the suburban trains stopped running. As someone born and raised in the Yeni Mahalle neighborhood, who spent almost all of my childhood and youth on the Sirkeci-Halkalı trains, I couldn't help but say a few words about this spot. It also holds significance in our family history because my good-for-nothing brother's wedding ceremony was held here, and they traveled by train from here for their honeymoon. Orhan Pamuk also had the writers' conversation take place here in his novel *The Black Book*. I also remember this restaurant from the movie *Murder on the Orient Express*, and I look forward to visiting it again at the first opportunity.
I was there a year ago. The entire station is currently undergoing renovations. I hope that when I return to Istanbul, I'll see it in its new, beautiful form. A piece of history.
Don't go to the closed area for nothing, the state has collapsed for 5 years, don't come here 🤨🤨🤨😤😤😤
