Accommodation 23.4.-26.4.2025 Faros Hotel Old City. The staff is really friendly, helpful and really helpful. We had a very clean and cozy room on the top (5) floor with a large (15 square meters) balcony facing the main street. The room was very clean and in good condition and the bed was really good and spacious. The views from the balcony were great in the direction of the mosques. The hotel's breakfast was really diverse and plentiful with fresh products. The hotel's location is one of the best if you want to stay in Istanbul on the Sultanahmet (Fatih-Old city) side. Good transport connections to explore on foot and the most famous mosques (Hagia Sofia 15 min. and Blue Mosque 10 min.). The Grand Bazaar is about 10 min walk away. There are several smaller mosques in the surrounding area. A variety of services near the hotel with plenty of shops and supermarkets. The nearest tram stop is about 150 m from the hotel. The tram provides easy access to, for example, Taksim. On the Taksim side, it is worth taking the Funicular (a cable car used on steep slopes) to Taksim Square, this way you avoid walking and the steep climb there. Public transport in Istanbul is smooth, but during peak tourist season it can be a bit congested. The tram also provides easy access to the port, where ferries to the Asian side of Istanbul and also cruise ferries usually depart from here. All in all, Faros Hotel Old City is a great place to stay if you want to explore Istanbul and enjoy the restaurant's good food, service, clean accommodation and the nice hotel environment.

A boutique hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet, right on the tram line. The staff are polite and respectful. Most importantly, the cleanliness is excellent. The rooms and common areas are spotless. Our room was cleaned and tidied every day. If I ever stay in Sultanahmet again, I would definitely choose this hotel.

Currently staying here for 4 days, and have been so impressed with the service and especially the warm welcome we have received from Sema she has made the first impression 5 star, our room was made available early and also a birthday cake for my wife was bought to our room, this has made our first day in Istanbul so memorable. Looking forward to the rest of our stay here in this beautiful hotel.
