Unfussy eatery with traditional seafood offerings, salads & desserts, plus outdoor seating.
Clean, excellent food and wonderful staff...Omar our waiter is an absolute professional who makes you comfortable the minute you sit down. Our finest meal in the 3 weeks we spent in Greece and Turkey.
Food was fresh but price was high and quantity of food was soo small
Impeccable service, superb flavors.
Waiters distracted by a larger group that was sitting next to us. Food was very good. Hummus was excellent and grilled seabass was done very well.
Last night I finally had the opportunity to visit Balıkçı Sabahattin, a place my father has known and been familiar with since its inception. We were seated at a lovely table and ordered starting with cold appetizers. We ordered Cretan dip, eggplant dip with yogurt, white cheese, and finally lakerda (cured fish). All the appetizers were delicious and of high quality. We ordered calamari, and it was truly delicious; it was incredibly tender because it was cooked so well, otherwise it would have been rubbery. We then ordered pan-fried sea bass, and it was truly the star of the table. It lived up to its reputation; the meat was incredibly tender, and the spice balance and level of spiciness were perfect. Finally, for dessert, we ordered semolina halva with ice cream, and that was also delicious.nnBoth the service and the atmosphere were wonderful, and the prices are reasonable by today's standards, so I definitely recommend it. It's a place worth visiting again.
